Just over two weeks until Mister Marco and his Sister, Dottie will be heading to their forever families! We have started the very basics of house training and will be tackling crate training early next week! Marco LOVES attention and responds very well to praise, so I have no doubt he will pick up on both tasks quickly!

A family, a name, and puppy food- it's been a big couple days! This has to be one of the happiest little boys in the world! Mister 4 is now officially Marco! We are loving getting to call him by name!
We started puppy food this week and Marco was a little skeptical at first. He smelled his bowl, then walked around to sniff all 4 bowls that the other pups were eating before making it back around to his own food and giving it a try! Once he took a bite, he wasted no time at all finishing off his meal and has been a great eater ever since! Everyone was weighed a few days ago and Marco has maintained his position as smallest pup in the litter. He weighed in at 3.15 pounds, which was 7 ounces smaller than the next smallest pup! He may be little, but he has a big personality! He loves to play and explore! Especially outside! But he can also easily calm down and relax in someones arms or lap! I can't believe over half of our time has already been spent with this little guy! He is still the smallest boy in the litter, but is the example of the quote "dynamite comes in small packages." He LOVES to play, with both people and pups. He loves to follow his mama around, takes on new experiences with enthusiasm, and is absolutely charming! We can see little teeth popping through, which means puppy food is soon to come!
A beautiful day led to our first outdoor outing and our weekly pictures being taken a day early! We had a wide range of reactions to the outdoors. I would say Mister 4, fell right in the middle. He wasn't overly concerned about the new surroundings, but he didn't instantly begin to explore either. The wind was a little concerning for him at first, but once we got used to that, his tag began to wag and he bravely started to check things out! This boy is so photogenic! It was really hard narrowing down a reasonable number to post!
Mister 4 is changing fast! He is crawling around the whelping box with ease, eyes are wide open, and ears are beginning to follow suit! He is using his voice to let us (and his mommy) know when he needs attention and starting to get the urge to play! We have seen him pounce on his litter mates a few times, but the others just aren't ready to reciprocate the games just yet! We are looking forward to ears opening and everyone learning to play this week!
This little boy has his eyes open and curiosity peeked! He had no desire to lay on the blanket and cooperate for a photo shoot. Scooting around seemed like much for fun. He is getting stronger daily and that scoot is slowly, but surely transforming into a crawl. Once those ears open, it's going to be a whole new world! We can't wait to experience it all with him!
