💛Yellow --- The Gentle Soul

​Mister Yellow continues to be one of our sweet, laid-back boys. He's earned the nickname The Gentle Soul this week. Now that his eyes are wide open, he's much more aware of new experiences — and he isn't afraid to let us know when he's unsure! Nail clippers looked a little suspicious at first, but with some patience and reassurance, he was relaxed by the time we reached that fourth little paw. These tiny experiences are exactly why we begin handling paws, ears, mouths, and bodies so early. Yellow may approach new things cautiously, but he is already showing us that with a little reassurance, he's willing to give them a try.

​When you look at Mister 4, he looks like the team giant! But the scale tells a different story. He's weighing in at a healthy 1 pound, 12 ounces, which is actually 2 ounces smaller than his brother, Mister 5, and only about 4–6 ounces bigger than the rest of the litter.

This handsome guy was the first to open his eyes, and  he's already showing hints of an independent personality. He's often the first to venture away from the puppy pile after a nap and doesn't mind figuring things out on his own before joining his siblings again. It will be fun to see if this little independent streak sticks around!

What a week it's been for Mister Four!

​From the very beginning, Mister Four has had his sights set on outgrowing his big brother, Mister Five. At one point, we were convinced he might just steal the title of biggest puppy in the litter by his one-week birthday!

In the end, though, Mister Five held onto his crown. Mister Four now weighs an impressive 1 pound, 1 ounce, putting him just 2 ounces behind his big brother at 1 pound, 3 ounces.

Even if he didn't quite claim first place, we're incredibly proud of how beautifully he's grown this week and can't wait to see what the next week brings!
