It was a busy week here! Mister 1 is sleeping through the night, is beginning to whine when he needs to go potty and got his first round of shots at the vet yesterday! He weighed in at 7.7 pounds and lost his title has "biggest pup in the litter" (Mister 3 is now a whole ounce bigger than him) and took his shots like a champ. Not even a whimper.
He LOVES to play, especially with the big dogs! We're pretty sure his tummy can tell time, he always lets us know when it's time to eat! He reminds us so much of his Mama! Exciting news for Mister 1, he was found by his forever this past week! We are so excited for his new family to meet this sweet, playful pup! Over the last few, we have started the very basics of house training and Monday will be day one of crate training! So far, he is doing exceptionally well at going outside. He isn't quite notifying us when he needs to go, but we are starting to pick up on other signs and he always goes right away when he take him out. And he loves loves loves the praise he gets for going outside like a big boy!
It's been a busy couple days since our last weekly post, so I thought I would swing by and leave a mid week update! Puppy food has begun and it has been a big hit! Mister 1 always clears his bowl in a timely manner and enjoys nice, long, fully belly naps afterwards! He has become one of the most playful pups in the pack. He plays hard and then sleeps hard. We did a weigh in earlier in the week and he has maintained his status as biggest boy in the litter. He was exactly 5 pounds, with the runner ups being 4.13!
Just three short weeks until this little boy is ready for his forever family! He has really come to life this week. He is a "middle of the packer" --the perfect mixture of calm and playful. He loves to be held, is a little cautious when it comes to new experiences, but once he warms up, he loves to explore! His tail is always wagging, he LOVES to play in the water bowl, and little teeth are starting to emerge. That means puppy food will be started soon!
We are a day early on our weekly update, but the weather was so nice today, we had to take advantage of it and do our photo shoot outside! This was their first outdoor outing. Mister 1 was a little skeptical at first. The wind was a bit frightening and the grass was completely different than the blanket or carpet he had previously experienced. He cautiously explored a small area before realizing he was safe and began to wag his tail and play!
Eyes are wide open and this boy is all set to explore the whelping box! We upgraded the litter from the small pool to the larger pool and those little legs wasted no time investigating his new home. He has found his voice and occasionally lets out tiny, heart melting barks and growls! This is such a fun stage! We are looking forward to ears fully opening this week and for playing to really begin.
Eyes are peeking open and these little bodies are getting stronger and stronger. The puppy scoot is slowly turning into a crawl and tiny barks are starting to escape! We are looking forward to ears opening this week and then the puppy playing will begin. --Also, look at that little mustache! I am in love.
Mister 1 is weighing in a 2.5 pounds. He has definitely grown since his last picture we took with Valentine's Day bone!
