This will be Penelope's last update. She will be making her journey home in just 4 short days. She has been such an easy girl to love. She is sleeping through the night, doing really good on house training, and is always super cuddly.
She had a visit with the vet yesterday to receive her health certificate. She weighed in at 7.8 pound and was deemed a perfectly healthy little lady. We can't wait for her family to meet her!

Puppies are heading home daily and Miss Penelope will be the last to go. Luckily, she doesn't seem even the slightest bit phased by her siblings departing. In fact, I think she prefers them gone so that she can take advantage of the extra attention!
She has really taken a liking to water this week! We keep a small pool of fresh water out throughout the day and Penelope and Argus have become quite the little swimmers! She loves to splash around and occasionally bring her toys in for a swim with her! Penelope is continuing to thrive! She's an easy, happy, loveable little pup. She had a check up with Dr. S today and did fantastic. She has held her position as smallest pup in the litter (by 3 ounces) and weighed in at a healthy 5.1 pounds. She didn't even flinch at her shots or the physical exam and she was deemed perfectly healthy. (Not that we had any doubts!)
She is sleeping through the night in her crate with a buddy and will transition into her own crate this week! Potty training is going well. She typically takes care of business pretty quickly when taken out and then eagerly explores the yard! Miss 2 is doing absolutely wonderful with her crate training and is getting better at house training every single day! She is so smart and eager to please! Almost all of her pictures are either action shots or pictures of her looking somewhere else, because she doesn't let me get far enough away from her to snap a good picture. As soon as I start to back away and she notices, she starts following! Which is extremely enduring on every other occasion, except picture day!
It's been an extra special week for Miss 2 as she was found by her forever family! We are so excited for them to meet her. It was tough to get her picture this week, as she just wanted to be right in my lap, such a little cuddle bug!
Her teeth are all grown in, so we have upgraded her from puppy mush to dry dog food and she definitely loves to eat! We gave bathes and pedicures yesterday and she didn't make a single fuss about any of it. She is so easy going and just happy to be. We have started the very earliest stages of house training and will begin crate training tonight! She loves people and seems so eager to please, so I have no doubt she will pick up on both concepts quickly! It's been another big week here! Teeth are pushing through and Miss 2 has started eating puppy food. She is a big fan of the real food.
She is such a sweet, cuddly girl. She is one of the calmer pups in the litter, loves to play, and is very outgoing when initiated, but easily settles down for cuddles and love! We really adore this little lady! This little love bug is 4 weeks old! She is such a sweet, loving girl which is so fitting since her nose is the shape of a heart! She is cautious, calm, and loves to cuddle! She takes her time warming up to new situations and always seeking out people to love on her!
Miss Two is quite the little explorer! She was so difficult to photograph today, she was crawling and sniffing and discovering ever inch of her environment. Such a strong, sweet, curious little girl!
This sweet baby is the last one in the back to fully open her eyes, but she isn't letting it hold her back. She has no problem playing and following the litter mates through the whelping box! I can see the bright blue eyes peeking through! I'm thinking tomorrow is the day she'll finally open them big and wide!
