This will be Ranger's last weekly update... as him time with us is about to come to an end. He has been such a fun pup to raise. He loves to run, give kisses, play games of tug of war, eat, and chew bones... and of course there is plenty of napping between all that excitement!
He is sleeping through the night, doing really well at whining when he needs to potty, and is already around a really sweet boy. He had a visit with the vet yesterday and was deemed a perfectly healthy boy. He weighed in at 9.8 pounds and the vet was very impressed with his easy going demeanor. He patiently sat in my kiddos lap and awaited his turn to be checked out. Never made a fuss through out the entire process and gave the vet plenty of kisses when she was done. We are so excited for him to meet his new family!

While the rest of the litter slowly departs, Ranger and Penelope are here for a little bit longer. You can tell he is a little unsure about where all his buddies are going, but gladly accepts the extra love and attention this allots him.
Ranger is so playful and energetic. He can have fun with anything or anyone. He loves to play with the litter, people, toys, and even blankets! He is very affectionate, always giving little nuzzles into our necks and an abundance of kisses! He is incredibly smart, quickly responds when spoken too, and tries his best to follow instructions! Ranger is officially 8 weeks old and is still the most fun, playful, baby in the litter. He tied for first place as biggest pup in the litter, weighing in at 6.8 pounds... Which is a whole 2 ounces bigger than the smallest boy in the litter! So he is right on track!
He is doing fantastic in the crate at night. He is currently still sleeping with a buddy, but will transition to solo sleeping this weekend. He is continuing to improve with house training every single day and is looking forward to meeting his forever family very soon! Ranger is 7 weeks old and full of life! He is learning new things daily, growing by leaps and bounds, and getting cuter all the time. He is picking up on crate training incredibly fast, doing great on house training, and is continuing to learn manners from his mom and litter mates. He couldn't possibly be doing any better!
I think this might have been Mister 9's most exciting week yet! Not only was he found by his forever family, but he also received a name- Ranger! (How cute is that?!)
On top of that, he also upgraded from puppy mush to dry dog food, got the chance to splash around in some water in the backyard, got a bath and his nails trimmed, and began the very earliest stages of house training! Tonight we take on crate training! Mister 9 seems to have really come alive this week! He is currently the biggest boy in the litter, very outgoing, and eager to play with anyone and everyone. We are thinking he may be our leader of the pack!
On top of finding his personality, he also added puppy food to his daily diet and is now getting to play, exercise, and explore the outdoors a couple times a day. Both of which he is a BIG fan of! He is so much fun to interact with and becomes more and more handsome with each passing day! Mister 9 is such an easy going, content baby! Doesn't matter if he is hanging out in the whelping box, exploring a room, or taking an adventure outside, his tail is always wagging and he is simply going with the flow! He loves to play and never protests cuddles!
Mister 9 really made me work for these shots! He is such a sweet playful boy. All he wanted to do was play with me, by the time I set him down and scooted a few feet back, he was already right up against me. Eventually I wore him out and then all I could get was sweet puppy yawn after puppy yawn! (Which is pretty cute, if you ask me!)
