It's hard to believe that this time next week, we will be beginning our goodbyes! The days are zooming by and we are soaking in all the fun, cuddles, and chaos we can.
All things considered (cold weather and a large litter) house training went pretty well this week. The pups typically go super quickly when we take them out and they LOVE the potty praise they receive after they go! So, we are definitely building that positive association with outdoors equaling going potty. Teething is in full force! We are hearing lots of noise from the puppy pen as they learn how to use their mouths nicely with Mom and each other. They all love the chew toys they have experienced so far (cow ears and bully sticks) and have put those new chompers to great use as we made the transition from softened food to dry kibble! This week we will begin crate training! I will be honest, this is my least favorite task. Keep your fingers crossed for us that the pups accept the crate as a nice and cozy resting spot from the start! Ha! Ha! Everything else with this litter has gone SO smooth, can we get lucky enough for this to be just as easy?? We'll see...
