Crate training and house training are in full force, as we end week 6 and bring in week 7! Both are going great. We have used the buddy system to get everyone used to the confinement of the crate. We had a lot of fussing off and on for the first few nights, but everyone has come around to it. So, now we will begin sleeping solo and working on eliminating the middle of night bathroom break! We are having less and less accidents in the house every day, which is the ultimate goal. A few puppies are starting to whine to notify us that they need to go, but a lot of it is still us watching for their cues and offering lots of positive reinforcement when they go outside!
We have an athletic bunch this time! Every single puppy learned how to climb out of the small gate we had keeping them on the tile floor. We always have one or two who figure it out, but this is first for an entire litter. Very impressive! The puppies are all becoming so playful! They are full of life, energy, and personality. It's hard to believe this is our last week with everyone together. I say it every single post, with every single litter, but the time really does go so fast! We're so excited for everyone to meet their new family members!
