Goodbyes have officially begun!
Yesterday afternoon, three sweet pups met their forever families and we have several scheduled to go home next week. It really is so exciting to play a small role in growing families. We can't thank you enough for trusting us to help raise your babies these first few weeks!

Seven weeks seems impossible. The time is flying and goodbyes will begin before we know it!
It's been a week full of fun and adventure. We've spent lots of time outside with the beautiful weather, they enjoyed some extra play and cuddles during the day since my kids were home for spring break, we've made solid progress on potty training and we even started sleeping in crates last night! This week, the pups will visit the vet for health checks and to get their first round of vaccines. We start our goodbyes in exactly six days!
This was a big week! The pups spent a lot more time outside as we began to really double down on house training. They went to the vet. Slept in crates over night. And enjoyed a lot of extra time with the kiddos in the house thanks to spring break! Pictures this week were not easy! Seven weeks is always the hardest. At this point, the pups are active, no longer distracted by the camera, and always eager to play! So we have a lot of action shots, looking away, and begging for attention at our feet. Ha! Ha!
Sadie and the babies running off some energy after dinner!
Stella's litter had their first vet appointment yesterday! The office was so proud of Stella for raising 13 puppies so well. They happily showered the staff with puppy kisses, took their shots like champs, and came home excited to play mama!
This warm weather has been amazing! All of the pups love to go outside and their tails start wagging as soon as we start heading towards the door! We mowed the yard and got it all puppy ready. My daughter had the idea that we should leave this patch of clovers for the puppies to explore and it was a major hit! It was so fun to watch each puppy explore it in their own way... some sniffed and walked, others ran, some pounced around, and one even seemed to be swimming through them! Ha! Ha! Great entertainment!
This week, we will double down on house training and later in the week we will begin crate training! It's a busy time, but so much fun! Our hearts are overfilled with love! The last six weeks have gone by even faster than we imagined... as the old saying goes, time flies when you're having fun!
Six weeks is a big one! We'll be visiting the vet for our first round of shots, really try to double down on house training, and we will begin crate training towards the end of the week! The puppies are becoming more and more playful every day! They love attention and run to greet anyone who walks in the direction of the puppy pen. Chin rubs, bully sticks, and couch cuddles are pack favorites! VIDEOS ON INDIVIDUAL BLOGS!This week, instead of posed photos, we decided to post a short video of each puppy! We love pictures, but there is something extra special about seeing these little guys move around. The toller puppies are SO CUTE with their little round bellies barely off the ground!
This was a fun week! Everyone started puppy food and they are doing great. They actually took a little convincing to try it at first, but once they tried it, they were immediately hooked. They can already tell time with their bellies... I was about 20 minutes late for breakfast this morning and they definitely let me know! Ha! Ha! We have started the first step of house training and they picked up on it immediately! We're so excited to keep watching them grow and learn. Every day is something new and fun. We are beyond grateful to be a part of their journey! This weeks homepage update is a little bland... Instead of pictures, we opted for videos that show each puppy in action! This is such a magical time, as they experience so many "first." We wanted to make sure you got a glimpse of their wobbly little legs, wagging tails, and tiny little faces.
The puppies started food last week and that was a major hit. Not a single puppy questioned or seemed reluctant about trying the new food source and it didn't take long for them to recognize the sound of food being scooped up and poured into the metal dishes. Believe it or not, we even started house training this week! So far, we're off to an excellent start... especially considering the size of the litter! Check out those individual blogs! I know I'm bias, but they are SO cute! |
