Eyes are open!
This is always one of the most exciting milestones...
(aside from sleeping through the night! Ha! Ha!)
So, we couldn't wait until Wednesday to show off these pretty blue eyes!
Two Weeks Old! (Almost!)
My little helper was too excited to wait 14 more hours for puppy pictures. She found all the props and set the whole thing up herself.
So, we're posting a bit early this week!
All of the pups are doing great!
Eyes are a little bit more open each day and they are getting closer and closer to standing.
Our family is wishing all of you a fantastic Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and food!
We are SO grateful to spending the holiday with these eleven cuties and for all the families who are trusting us (or have trusted us in the past) to help grow their families.
Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
One week flew by! I know January sounds like a lifetime away, but we know from experience these next seven weeks will go by fast!
Everyone is gaining weight daily and getting more mobile by the minute. Those little legs can really scoot when Mom hops into the opposite side of the whelping box!
We're looking forward to eyes opening this week!
Babies in a basket!
It's pretty magical how quickly you can fall in love. These little faces have already captured the hearts of all six humans in the house.
As you can see, the ultrasound tech definitely missed "a few" little bodies during her appointment. Ha! Ha!
We have five girls and six boys.
One little girl is solid brown and the rest are brown with varying amounts of white markings!
I posted pictures on their blogs today and I'm planning to do an individual video of each puppy tomorrow!
It's been a few days, so I'd thought I'd share a quick update.
Lola is doing great! She has mastered the motherly art of tuning out "noises" that she does not want to hear and was clearly not interested in letting me interrupt her motherly duties for a video! Ha! Ha!
The babies are already growing and you can hear them using those little voices to communicate with their Mama!
I've been working on creating blogs and I'm hoping Lola will let me take pictures today... Fingers crossed!
Lola agreed that a cool, stormy day was the perfect day to deliver.
Mom and pups are off to a great start.
More details coming soon!
It's a cloudy, rainy day here in Stillwater. Not exactly ideal weather to play outside, so maybe a good day to have some babies? Come on, Lola! We are SO ready!
(Also, I know she looks a little homeless in this picture. We had just came in from a short walk around the backyard when she decided to go back down for a nap. The grass is wet, the sky is misting and this is the result!)
Miss Lola is doing wonderful, but she did decide she was not up for her evening game of fetch with Stella!
Is it a sign they are coming soon?? We will see.
Also, is it just me or does that smile make you fall in love a million times over? I could re-watch that part of the video all day long.
Lola girl is maintaining her pregnant status with no signs of labor just yet.
Mama Livie, who is definitely not pregnant- by the way, seems to be ready for puppies. She is toting her notorious raccoon toy (that she has always labored with) all around the house and is being a little extra lazy and cuddly with Livie.
Maybe she can sense something we can't? Time will tell. :)
